Cafe de la Esperanza, LLC was started by the HOPE Bible Mission to help small coffee farms in the Ixil region in Guatemala access global markets. We purchase coffee at more than the Fair Trade prices and assist with the initial processing to maintain the quality. Farmers use the extra income for education, medical care or home improvement.
Re-connecting these remote villages provides many types of employment (teachers, medical providers, builders, shop owners, etc.) and opportunities for all.
